Perrine Madœuf has found in Adèle a role perfectly suited to her remarkable talent. Comfortable throughout her entire vocal range, she vocalizes flawlessly, combining a lovely musicality with a keen sense of comedy. Her voice – like the actress herself – is beautiful, never strained, and is used to serve a performance of great subtlety and charm, even during the risqué – but funny – final sandwich scene.

We will particularly note the radiant presence of soprano Perrine Madoeuf who showcases in the role of Countess Adèle a supple, long, fruity and relatively powerful instrument, more lyric soprano than coloratura even if she has all the agility of lighter voices.

Perrine Madoeuf embodies Countess Adèle both on stage and vocally. Her wide-ranging voice is highly virtuosic, though she doesn't seek to showcase these qualities, instead placing them at the service of the score and the drama. Her pyrotechnical ease in virtuosic passages reaches dazzling high notes and descends into the depths of a controlled chest voice, with a consistently powerful and resonant presence throughout.

It is a delight to see Perrine Madoeuf's Countess Adèle again, a role she triumphed in in Rouen in 2019. The soprano delivers a truly beautiful lesson in elegant and sensitive virtuosity, which is further enhanced by genuine acting talent. Her voice, naturally grounded in the lower register—though this in no way hinders her remarkable ease in the upper notes—would undoubtedly be particularly well-suited to Donizetti's queens or certain serious Rossini roles (Semiramide): may theater directors take note…
