French soprano Perrine Madoeuf, originally from Lyon, began singing at the age of nine in the children’s choir of the Opéra de Lyon. She trained at the Lyon National Conservatory of Music and later at the Opera Studio of the Vlaamse Opera. A prizewinner of several international competitions and a participant in Operalia (Verona), she quickly established herself on the European operatic scene.

Renowned for the elegance, versatility, and dramatic intensity of her singing, she has built a wide-ranging repertoire including Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Violetta (La traviata), Marguerite (Faust), Manon, Gilda (Rigoletto), Micaëla (Carmen), Donna Anna and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Musetta and Mimì (La bohème), Countess Adèle (Le Comte Ory), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Blanche de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites), and Adina (L’elisir d’amore).

She has appeared on major international stages such as the Opéra Comique, Royal Danish Opera, Latvian National Opera, Estonian National Opera, Teatro Wielki (Warsaw), Vanemuine Theatre (Tartu), Opéra de Nice, Opéra de Marseille, Opéra de Metz, Opéra de Rennes, and Théâtre de l’Odéon in Marseille, among others. Her repertoire also includes musical theatre, having sung Maria in West Side Story on tour in France, Canada, and China.

In December 2021, Perrine Madoeuf made a sensational last-minute debut at the Opéra Comique as Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, receiving unanimous critical acclaim. Recent highlights include Musetta (La bohème) in Metz and Saint-Étienne, Marguerite (Faust) in Riga, Juliette in Bern and Tallinn, Micaëla (Carmen) at the Royal Danish Opera and Opéra de Nice, and Violetta Valéry in a concert performance of La traviata with Le Cercle de l’Harmonie conducted by Jérémie Rhorer.

Current and upcoming engagements include Violetta Valéry at the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu and the Teatro Wielki in Warsaw, and Micaëla in Carmen in Hong Kong.

Since 2024, she has also been teaching voice at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
